Hello :)
My
Boyfriend introduced me to Blackmore's Night a couple years ago;
and we are lucky enough to see the band everytime they get near
the northeast! (We live in Connecticut; seen them at least 3 times
:) ) (The BEST was in Philly last year, but, thats another story
;) ) I have "returned the favor" and showed BN to a dear
friend in Los Angeles, and he and his wife saw BN last Saturday.
I got the concert review from my firend the next day... HOW IS RITCHIE??????????????
Ok, so being selfish... PLEASE tell me there will be plans for BN
to return to Philly this year??? We met up with an old high school
friend of my boyfriend (he and his wife had a renaissance wedding)
and, I'd like to give my boyfriend that hint before he possibly
gets called up overeas this fall..... We had such a great weekend
with the BN concert AND the Pa Ren Faire!!!!!!! Please make my dreams
come true, and tell me BN will be back????
Thank you for listening to this crazy person :)

I was wondering, nay hoping, that Blackmore's Night might do a castle
tour in the UK. After all, we've got loads of great castles here.
I, and I'm sure many other fans, would love to experience this.
Personally I've tried to get to Germany each time Ritchie and the
gang have done a castle tour there but have never been able to afford
it. So is there any chance of a castle tour here?
Response:
We would really like to do a castle tour in the UK and have been
asking our agents to look into this. We missed all of you last year
and we plan to be back soon, we do plan to be in the UK this coming
Autumn. See you soon, under a violet moon.

Hello! Why you do not come to us to Moscow? It would be healthy
if you to us have arrived But while it remains only dream... With
love and respect, your admirer from Moscow.
Response:
We get many thousands of emails from our wonderful Russian fans.
With the new Blackmore's Night cd and dvd coming this year, we are
limited in our touring schedule. We are really busy in the studio
but we do hope to be back there next year.
Dave from California - February 2005
Comments:
First off I want to thank Candice and Ritchie for coming to California,
and making a dream come true. We were able to go to three shows
starting at home in San Diego, and what a great night, Candice was
so good that night, the single best performance we have ever seen
from a singer, amazing feeling, we knew she was good, and now we
know she is the best. The whole band was great, and gave everyone
such a good feeling, we felt like we were among friends, Ritchie
was great throughout, and the rest of the band were to, Diamonds
and Rust was a highlight as Candice made us all feel like she was
singing to each one of us, we were even treated to a great version
of Smoke on the Water with the slow version to start the song, I
have alway perfered it done this way, it reminds me of the way Rainbow
did it with JLT on vocals, but again Candice out did all other singer`s
to sing this song, a fantastic night. Next we saw the tow show`s
in LA, the first at the Grove was the longest of the three we saw,
and Ritchie was really playing great with the extended guitar part
in Fires at Midnight being one of many highlights, another has to
be the Hurdy Gurdy which was great to watch and hear, we were treated
to an extra encore with Times are Changing, and Dandlion Wine, we
also were treated to the fantasic song Now and Then. The only problem
on this night was the yelling out from the crowd, I really wish
everyone would save the yelling for inbetween songs, and not durning,
so the music can take us away with it. The last night of the tour
was interesting to say the least, a few in the crowd managed to
break the feeling of the show with un-needed yelling, but credit
to Ritchie and Candice to still pull off a great show of acoustic
music. They won over many new fans the were there for the histroy
of Ritchie and did`nt get what they expected, but fell for this
great music Blackmores Night plays, I hope things went well enough
so they can return very soon, thanks for the best weekend we`ve
had in year's..
Dorota
from Poland - November 2004
Comments:
Dear Candice,
my name is Dorota, I'm 20 and I'm from Poland. I've heard about
Blackmore's Night a long time before but I just never had a chance
to hear You. Until last week. My good friend said: You'll like it.
Just listen. But he doesn't tell me what he was going to play. He
pushed play button and I heard music. After few seconds I heard
Your voice and I shouted "Who's that? What band it is?. And
he started laughing and he said "It's Blackmore's Night".
It was "Way To Mandalay". And I was so overwhelmed...really,
I was hypnotized or something... So the next day I ran to the music
shop and I bought "Ghost Of A Rose" and I'm still hypnotized.
How come I didn't discover Your music earlier? And what's funny
I read here that You like Stevie Nicks and Buckingham Nicks. Well,
then I have to tell You that I'm a huge Stevie Nicks fan. I discovered
Fleetwood Mac in 2000 and it was exactly the same way like it was
with Blackmore's Night. I mean I was overwhelmed for a long time.
And to be honest...I am still... I think that kind of music carries
some truth within. I don't know how to say it. It makes me feel
wise, it makes me feel able to cast magic spells...it makes me fell
able to do anything. And I want to thank You for that. Candice Night
thank You for Your voice, Your lyrics, Your music and Your magic...
And You can be sure You're the most beautiful girl in the world...
Thank You for
taking time to read this letter. Hope You can write me back. And
I don't care if this letter is posted. What's important to me is
that You get it. And one more question: Is it true that "Way
To Mandalay" video was filmed in Poland?
Thank You once
again.
Love You.
Take care.

To Ritchie and Candice:
I had the great fortune to be present at your recent performance
in the Birchmere theater in Arlington, Virginia. It was a wonderful
experience for me, as I have been trying to see Ritchie live for
over 25 years and have never had the opportunity until then. I live
about 6 hours away, but I was determined not to miss this opportunity.
To see both of you with your band was extremely satisfying for me.
It's not everyday that you get to scratch something off the life
"must do" list. Candice also took a moment to stop and
sign my tour program as she was going offstage and I want to say
how grateful I am for that small kindness. Anyway, to get to the
point:
My
home state of North Carolina has hosted the Carolina Renaissance
festival for 11 years now. It may be a poor imitation of what you
guys have seen overseas, as I have not had the opportunity to attend,
but I thought it might be a nice weekend trip for you guys, especially
at this time of the year when our mountains are ablaze with color.
There is no place else like it in the world, and I just wanted you
guys to be aware of the festival. There may even be an opportunity
for a performance there next year. Hint, hint, nudge nudge.
In
closing, thank you both for the show at the Birchmere, and I hope
to see
you all again very soon.

Ello,
It is with much
joy and sadness that I am writing this email. I am said that I am
unable to afford the trip to go see Blackmores Nights live with
someone special, your biggest fan, even if he is only 7 weeks old.
But I still want to share with you this story about your new collection,
Beyond the Sunset. My wife, Paula, gave birth July 30th, and the
wee one, Nicklas is probably your biggest fan. When you consider
that the priorities of his life are all primal instincts and his
most developed senses are taste and hearing, you will realize why
I say the lad is the bands biggest fan. The lad focus on eating
and sleeping but recently we found the music that he delights in.
We had tried classical music, contempory and all types of music,
but when we put in your new album, he stopped worrying about his
primal needs and stopped to listen with all of his focus. When Nicklas
hears the music and he stops fussing. He starts to smile and you
would think he is listening to the chior of angels backed by a symphony,....well
I guess he is not far off. Instead it is a solo of an angel backed
by a band of musicians skillfully lead by master guitarist who is
heavenly in his own way. Even on the 7th time through he still stops
and listens with all his being. And we play your other albums as
well and they have the same result. I just wanted to say thank you
for providing such wonderful music.
Sincerely,
Brad Handley

Just wanted to say I heard Blackmore's Night for the first time
last weekend (Home Again, on WNKU in Highland Heights, Ky., a college
station) and was really glad to see you (Ritchie) make the switch
to this musical genre. I was a very big Deep Purple fan until the
end of the Ian Gillan era and pretty much had lost interest in heavy
metal by the end of the ''70s. Instead I migrated more and more
into British folk-rock, Irish rock, bluegrass, U.S. folk, rockabilly,
Caribbean and other off-mainstream categories, so it was really
great news to learn that you''ve changed your playlists, too. Now
I need to buy one of your CDs. I''ll leave it up to you to recommend
my first purchase. Good luck at everything, all of you.

when I was young). I''ve got a little question : WHEN WILL YOU COME

I love your songs and music very much - they touch my soul and give
me much food for thoughts. But I was absolutely angry at you because
you did not visit my city with a concert. Next time, please, visit
more cities. A lot of people were upset with that fact that you
gave only one concert. Love you for your talent.

I first heard of Blackmore''s Night last week. I was listening to
the New Age music on my tv (dish is a wonderful thing) and heard
the song "Ghost of a Rose". I loved it so much that it inspired
me to write yet another story. So I am just going to talk my mom
into getting me some of Blackmore''s Night CD's for my upcoming
birthday. That way, I''ll have all of the songs that are on each
CD.

I just wanted to say that I feel really priveledged to get to go
to one of your two US concerts. A friend of mine got me started
on your music last summer and I absolutely love it. I live

get to go to the concert in Lakewood.
Is there some reason why you don''t do a big
US tour?

I
just wanted to let you know how much I enjoy your music. I received
a demo of your CD from the PA Renaissance Fair, and I was hooked
immedietely. The music is superb, and the lyrics have an air of
poetry not found too often in today's music. Not just that, but
your music presents a lost era which is painted and fleshed out
in such a way, that it becomes apparent what we've lost in becoming
who we are. Not to say that I don't appreciate current times, but
your music speaks of an appreciation for art, simplicity, poetry,
and beauty...Some things now deemed trivial or unimportant. Each
song, in it's own right, becomes a full blown three dimensional
vision of a journey which, the listener, can take part in and live
through, and find a piece of themselves in the process. Of course,
this is all my own opinion and my poetic and analytical way of saying
thank you for the fine music, lyrics, and beautiful vocals. Please,
keep up the beauty.
