Hello Ritchie! I am your
fan since 1982 when I heard Rainwow's Difficult To Cure. And your
present project of lyrick songs jointing old music and modern instruments
is the great thing. My soul relax when I am listening thees songs.
Especial thanks to Candice from my wife. Every time she hears "Wish
You Were Here" I see tear drop in the corner of her eyes. All the
best to YOU!!!

I really love
Blackmore´s Night and the angelical voice of Candice, but I´m also
a great fan of acoustic classical guittar and Ritchie Blackmore...
I like the way things are going with the band, but I still have
a comment to do to Ritchie... Everybody knows that the most part
of the fans of Blackmore go after the album searching for his guittar
heroe, so I think it would be more fair if the album had more solos
and instrumental songs... The ones that are already threre are so
good that we can resist to ask for more... Thank you very much.
I hope my comment can be constructive.

I recently
purchased your latest CD "Under a Violet Moon", absolutely beautiful
music. In fact, its so good that my wife Selina has claimed it as
hers, I have to rent it or lease it from her when I want to listen
to it. I have been a fan of Ritchies for many, many a year through
Deep Purple as a kid, Rainbow, and now Blackmore's Night. Thanks
Ritchie and Candice, God bless you both.

I stumbled
on to your music looking for Strawbs stuff. I found Wind in the
Willows; what a great song. My wife and I love your stuff. Ritchie,
it's nice to hear you play again, I've been out of touch for a while.
Do yall ever come to Louisiana? Hope so. I think the whole band
is great. Bye, Jimmy

When i first
heard that Ritchie Blackmore was coming for a gig in my country
i was very excited cause one of my guitar heroes would actually
play for me(and all the other Greeks of course)I mean the legendary
Deep Purple and Rainbow guitarist would perform in front of me...Then
I started to have second thoughts cause he was coming with another
band and I wouldn't have the chance to hear Stargazer or Man on
the silver Mountain..I must say that his performance was still great
and I wasn't at all dissapointed by his work with Blackmore's night

Ritchie, since
the late 70's I've been a fan. The songs you've created with Deep
Purple and later on your own have left a truly unmatchable legacy.
I was hoping you still toured the US. If you do, I'll be there.

I've been a fan since 1969 at the age of 12. Now
at 43, I still love it. Now I have my wife addicted to your stuff,
especially the Blackmore's Night music. If you are ever anywhere
around Knoxville, please let us know. My wife has promised to create
the appropriate medieval attire. If don't want to come to Knoxville,
how about Nashville or Atlanta? Any plans on another Rainbow CD
with stuff like "Hunting Humans" or "Hall of the Mountain King"?
We love you and your music Ritchie and Candice. Take care, Joel
and Susan
Response to
Joel and Susan from Carole Stevens - Manager of Blackmore's Night
A new Blackmore's Night
cd will be out this Spring. As for a song like Hall of the
Mountain King - that is an old classical favorite that Ritchie rearranged
and Candice wrote lyrics to - very similar to some of the Blackmore's
Night songs - and - yes - similar to some new ones for the next
cd.

Hi Ritchie!
I am probably your biggest fan over a long period of time. I am
also a musician, we try to connect the seventies with the presence
in a very fresh way. I bought since 1982 every released material
of you and so happy and proud that you are still working and performing.
God bless you. Your kind of playing is a class of its own and uncomparable.
Stay health and all the best wishes to your companion candice. I
think you know it, but you have still so many fans here in germany,
who would like to get a taste of your fabulous performance. I wish
you all the best! Thank you for decades of finest musical performance.
Thank you so much!!!!

Fantastic!!! I have followed
Ritchie's career since '72 when I was six years old. Smoke On The
Water grabbed me by the throat, but other songs like Run With The
Wolf and Eyes of Fire with Rainbow intrigued me. This was much more
than just a "Metal Master." This was obviously a musical genius.
A man who truly understands both the science AND poetry of music.
It surprised me a little when I first heard the "Under A Violet
Moon" CD, but not for long. Blackmore has elevated his music yet
again. Still searing with intensity and passion, the subtleties
that had ALWAYS been there through his days with DP and Rainbow
have finally come shining through. It is pleasure for me to plays
these discs repeatedly. People are still amazed when they ask me
what I am listening to. They feel Ritchie is just one dimensional,
musically. He continues to prove to himself and the world what he
and indeed what music itself is capable of being. Thank you Mr.
Blackmore, and here is ! ! hoping for 30 more years of fresh new
innovative music from you.

Dear Backmore's Night...
Tonight was the first time I heard your music, and it was love at
the first sight. The spirit that dwells in your songs is the spirit
of medieval times, gypsy songs, minstrels and campfires...
Just yesterday I saw your Shadow of the Moon album at my friend's
place and was attracted by a picture of a campfire on its cover.
I am obsessed and in love with the age of campfires and minstrels.
As I was in a hurry and did not manage to ask about the cd, I remembered
the name of it and found the song. I fell in love with it immediately.
Even before I came to this site, I thought there was the medieval
and gypsy spirit about your music. It's magical. This true magic
will always dwell in my heart.
Thank you. Thank you very much for your music. Wonderful, magnificent,
incredible, amazing - no words can describe it, one has to listen
to it to understand.
~Maria, who has just become your fan.
P.S. If you ever come to Russia or Ukraine, I will come to your
concert at any cost !

Greetings Blackmore's Night, I know it might be difficult for you,

This summer I heard Blackmore's Night for the first time. And what
could I possibly say, except that I fell in love with it immediately!
Your music is magical, so different from everything I've ever heard...and
yet, oddly familiar. It awakens so many feelings in me that I find
it hard to describe what it means to me. But I know it has changed
my world.
François

Hi dear Candice and Ritchie! My name is François, I'm 16 years old
and I live in Quebec. I want to be in a fanclub but I don't know
how I can do that. Please , if someone can tell me how to do , i'll
be happy ! I have 5 CD of you and I want more! For me, you are the
perfection! The wonderful voices of Candice and the uncradable
song of Ritchie make Blackmore's Night MAGIC! I never see you in
concert because it's difficult to me to go in New York. But , when
I hear your song on your CD, it makes me alive!
I hope to see you one day because now, I start to sing and I know
all your song! It's very hard because Candice is to: WOW! How she
can do that! Thank you to make my life a paradise!
PS:
In Quebec city, it have a medieval festival each year and it's very
popular in America. Maybe you can come here next year!

Before I forget.... The old hanging tree... She had
such a bad fate in former times... But finally: Hope is rising!
Nowerdays children play at her feet ... Finally she feels happy!
I must admit that usually I just listen to the music, not caring
too much about the lyrics... But this... was different...
Candice, thank you so much for the sadest but most hopeful story
I ever heard, making me crying and at the end - smiling! What
a great ending of a sad story! Thank you so much for giving me the
chance to let out my feelings ( It's been a long time - since
my father died - that tears were running down my cheeks) Thank you
for this wonderful song !

Dear BN people!
Ritchie told in a Finnish
interview that there will be live cd and dvd albums released from
BN, which is great news - understatement!
I was wondering if
anything specific has been decided, will they feature a complete
show from one night, or have the tracks been collected from variety
of shows, will the cd be 2cds (or perhaps even 3...) and so on.
If the album is collected
from variety of shows, I would humbly like to make a special request
for Ritchie and Candice, and the other people deciding which songs
and recordings will be on the record: Beyond The Sunset and 16th
Century Greensleeves from the Helsinki show, if they were recorded.
The first mentioned was performed with such delicate beauty that
there probably wasn't a dry eye in the house! The latter was performed
with heavier touch than usual and Ritchie's solo had people gasping.
After the show, many people mentioned this as one of the highlights
- and the eletric guitar provided perfect contrast to the gentle
acoustic songs.
Finally, I would like
to thank the band and all people associated for making Blackmore's
Night such an unusually magical experience and true MUSIC, in the
days when typically "hits" live 3 months before being
totally forgotten dominate the markets and the whole cultural sphere.
Thank You!
Yours,
Rami

I recently attended a Renaissance Faire in Muskogee Oklahoma and
upon leaving for the long drive home I was handed a promotional
tape entitled Blackmore's Night - Come With Me To The Renaissance
Faire. As I drove home (still in garb) I felt as though I had never
left. I was hooked! I played the tape all the way home and upon
arriving home I had to find out more about this wonderful group.
Your website is wonderful. Whomever put it together should be commended
indeed. I have since purchased every (authorized) CD I could get
my hands on and find that I can't get enough. Candice's voice in
enchanting and each song is captivating. May you continue to be
blessed in all your endeavors and may all you set your talents to
prosper!

I'm so happy !! Have been listening to the new album
for the last 2 days...What can I say... This is music that makes
me feel so good, so alive !!
I loved (well, I still love them ;)
)the 2 previous albums... and they are hard to beat.
But, I'm totally immersed in the new
album now.
Some of my (early) favorites on the
CD are: Home Again - While listening to this one, I just can't sit
still- it makes my legs feel so full of energy and makes me want
to dance all night long.. This is a catchy song :) "dancing
in the moonlight..." can't stop humming on this one !!
Crowning Of The King - It's beautiful,
love those horns and pipes :)
Fires At Midnight..... nearly 7 and
a half minutes of... I'll let you find out for yourselves ;)
The Storm- After a "soft"
intro, the storm, in this case a quite fast paced melody , breaks
loose.
Village On The Sand - This is some
great piece of music (well, it's RB stuff you know ;) ) Got some
nice flute-playing on it as well. Hehe.. BTW Ian Anderson rocked
on the first album ;)
Got to listen to it again now- hold
on, it's worth it :)
Jeff from USA
I just listened to the new CD and I don't know where to start! The
packaging is incredible (got the German velvet edition in a box)...just
superb. The
first things that struck me where Candice's vocals, which sounded
wonderful! She really is taking more chances vocally which is great.
..a tad more aggressive too, which I really like. Excellent melodies
and lyrics... Just great! Really impressive. Wow!
The other thing I noticed was the integration
of the percussion, which for the first time seems more convincing
than in the past. (I can hear the development since the first album.)
I also think that the bringing back of Pat Regan was a great move.
The density in the songs, particularly in the keyboards/strings
is just great. It's hard to articulate what I mean by "density"
but the foreground to background is "believable" and natural.
This aspect seemed a bit awkward to me on the second album in places.
Now ......Ritchie. I'm listening away loving this stuff when I get
to the solo in "Fires at Midnight" and my brain waves
were firing all over the place! What an amazing solo! He has not
put one down (for the public to hear anyway) like this in years.
That solo is awesome beyond all human comprehension!!!!!!! There's
a lot of great guitarists out there but this solo is stunning (Might
even make Jeff Beck squirm for a moment!) I am just blown away.
This solo alone is worth the $18.00 I paid for the disc! The instrumentals
are great too. Ritchie, if your reading this you have really created
some great moments here. I also like those Indian/middle eastern
motifs you've been introducing here and there....I could listen
to a whole album of that kind of style! That lead (on "Fires")
is ridiculous..good luck to anybody trying to copy that! Just when
I thought it was safe to be "jaded" about guitar solos
look what you go and do!
All in all this is a great, great album,
and it will take many listens to fully grasp all it has to offer.
It is an incredible value for the customer @18 tracks. Sure beats
those old 10 song Deep Purple albums. Thanks Carol, Candice, and
Ritchie, for bringing me some relief from the absurd music scene,
which has somehow managed to peak below ground zero in the last
few years.
Veider from Austria
Here at last
- the new Blackmore's Night album. And everything that Ritchie says
about the music of this project is really true. Simply great. May
this project live long. May there be another such Night album in
2002. And this homepage is one of the best I've ever seen and it's
living....

am even named after him, play a blonde fender srtat and a marshalll
amp but i still havent heard ant of his new stuff only the old seventies
rock!
Response
to Richie F. from Carole Stevens - Manager of Blackmore's Night
The Blackmore's Night acoustic music is very difficult and challenging.
This is why Ritchie enjoys it so much. Hope you can
get the cd, come to a show, or even better still, do both.
Hope to meet you soon Under A Violet Moon.
